The Bookshop
The Lost Story Bookshop is an independent bookstore opening in Katy, Texas, centered around women authors, created as a space where women can get lost in the bookshelves and temporarily check out from the constant demands of everyday life.
Because woo... the world expects A LOT from us women! Am I right?!
I want this bookshop to feel like self-care. Like a spa day, but honestly, cheaper, because you can also just come browse, bring your own book, sit in one of our reading-friendly spaces, and exist for a while without distractions or pressure. ;)
The focus of The Lost Story Bookshop is empowering women, creating community, and giving voice to women who have wisdom, experiences, and stories worth sharing with others.
I know for sure that book clubs will be meeting at the bookshop. But hope to host author signings sooner than later, and have aaalll the fun ideas for themed events, literary parties, and after-dark style conversations centered around relationships, intimacy, women’s wellness, marriage, and open discussions that are often treated as taboo. The goal is to create a welcoming space where women can have honest conversations, connect with one another, and feel less alone in their experiences.
The bookshop itself is designed to feel cozy, inspiring, and welcoming, with a shaded courtyard beneath the trees, a sunroom for browsing and reading, a cafe with baked goods and coffee, and spaces intentionally created for staying awhile.
The Lost Story Bookshop is also proud to become part of a growing community of women-owned businesses in Katy. There are already so many incredible women building beautiful things on this street, and I’m excited for the bookstore to become one more space rooted in creativity, connection, and a little bit of girl power. 🤍
We also have astrology-inspired book boxes that are curated reading experiences that combine a love of books with the personality and energy of each zodiac sign. In another life, I would do something astrology-related, lol! I hope others can relate to that special interest :)
More than anything, I hope this space reminds women of the strength that comes from community, creativity, rest, and storytelling.
